"Mild reduction pushes what appears to be ripe fruit to the background. There is both good vibrancy and detail to the nicely voluminous and solidly well-concentrated medium-bodied flavors that possess reasonably good complexity on the clean, dry and ever-so-mildly austere finish. This will need at least 2 years of bottle age to harmonize but drink well thereafter." - Allen Meadow |

2010 Domaine Jean-Marc Morey, Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru les Caillerets
AM93 |
HKD $665.00 |
"A classic Caillerets nose of mineral reduction, pear, lime and floral notes gives way to strikingly intense, detailed and driving medium weight flavors that sit atop a firm base of stone while displays ample amounts of underlying tension. There is good power and the moderately firm acid spine both shapes and supports the explosively long and moderately austere finish. This should be terrific."

2010 Domaine Jean-Marc Morey, Batard Montrachet Grand Cru
AM94 |
HKD $1,900.00 |
"An overtly exotic yet extremely fresh nose of dried yellow orchard fruit, mango, papaya and pineapple slides seamlessly into powerful and almost painfully intense big-bodied flavors that completely stain the palate with dry extract. This could easily be top heavy yet there is excellent acid support such that the mouth feel is really very precise with an abundance of underlying tension that adds a real sense of vibrancy to the linear and explosive long finish. Despite the overt exoticism of the nose the finish is bone dry and this should live for years." - Allen Meadow |
